  The lithium battery charges about an hour faster than the regular battery. I use the batteries for my weed whackers. I have both types of weed whackers. One uses a regular battery (24 volt) and the other uses a lithium ion battery (20 volt). The lithium and regular batteries both provide about 15 - 20 minutes of power. Once the power from the lithium "dies" and it stops working immediately. The regular battery slowly "dies" and the weed whacker slowly stops working. As previously stated, the positive thing about the lithium battery is that it takes less time to recharge. I was told that I will be able to recharge the lithium battery more times than the regular battery. I have not had both types long enough to find out. What ever type battery you have, make sure you have 1-2 spares to finish the job.
