This product is a NiMH battery for a Milwaukee 18V class tool such as a drill and saw. I have six of these 18V tools and maybe six 18V batteries. I have had in the past ten years tools for these batteries and a few, maybe three or four have have worn out due to usage and old age.

Milwaukee currently only sells batteries with this connector in NiCd chemistry while I have some of these I prefer the NiMH since they seem to store more energy and run through more recharge cycles before failing. I bought this NiMH battery which is made by a third party from the Amazon seller, Certified Battery. The first battery arrived quickly but it was dead on arrival. It did not operate or charge. Dead. By comparison I could use and charge other batteries I had. I sent a quick message via Amazon to Certified Battery requesting return approval. He immediately sent me another battery and it arrived quickly as well. It works great. It appears to work and charge exactly the way my other NiMH batteries do.

New Milwaukee tools are using an incompatible 18V Lithium battery. I have some of these and they work well. In the future I plan to replace all my tools with Lithium as the current tools wear out or get lost. Until then I will replace my worn batteries with NiMH
